Zack O’Brien scored four times and the Newfoundland Growlers extended their road winning streak to a record nine games to start a season with a 6-0 shutout over the Worcester Railers on Sunday.
Evan Cormier faced just 14 shots to earn the win and the shutout for the Growlers.
O’Brien also added an assist, tying franchise records for goals and points in a game with five.
The Growlers also continued their dominance on the powerplay with two more markers in the game.
The win improved the team’s record to 13 and 2 on the young season, easily good for first place overall.
The Growlers now return home for their first game at the renamed Mary Brown’s Centre on Wednesday night against the Reading Royals.
