It was a mixed bag of results for two of the province’s sports teams over the weekend.
First, the Newfoundland Growlers suffered two straight losses on home ice. On Friday the Growlers dropped their first match against the Reading Royals 3-1; then on Saturday the team would once again come up short, this time in a 4-2 loss.
The Growlers are back at the Mary Brown’s Centre on Friday for a three-game homestand against the Trois-Rivieres Lions.
Meanwhile, things went much differently for the Newfoundland Rogues on Sunday as they put one in the win column against the Atlanta Aliens, winning 148-74.
The Rogues are back in action tonight at the Mary Brown’s Centre for a rematch against Atlanta.
