A Scotsman, who finished a nine month journey walking across Canada to raise awareness and funds to help reforest Scotland, will be calling St. John’s home for the winter months.
Michael Yellowlees clad in a kilt, walked from Vancouver to St. John’s accompanied by his dog Luna. He wrapped up his cross-country trek at Cape Spear on Sunday.
He says the last nine months and the three years of planning before than seem like a dream.
What happens now? Well, Yellowlees says, he’s planning on staying in St. John’s for a while.
“I’m not going to be rushing back to Scotland” he says “I’m going to take a couple of weeks just to relax and process it all.”
He tells VOCM News loves St. John’s and the feel of the place.
“It very much feels like home,” he laughs “I think I’m going to have a bit of fun in the city.”
