Come From Away is ending its run in the country’s largest city.
The most successful Canadian musical of all-time has officially drawn the curtain on it’s Toronto run.
The show, which had just re-opened for the first time in 21-weeks before being shut down again due to the Omicron variant, were informed they would not be able to strut the boards again.
Producer David Mirvish puts onus on Ottawa, saying that elsewhere in the world the show is able to continue, due to support from the government, but in Canada, no such support exists.
He says without a safety net, they are unable to risk getting shutdown again.
