The sport governing body has suspended hockey operations to fall in line with the new restrictions under Alert Level 4.
Hockey NL says it is disappointed but it has ceased operations immediately for the 14 day period outlined.
Government will reassess the COVID situation on January 17, and the Hockey NL board of directors will take another look at things at that time.
