There appears to be a fair amount of confusion surrounding how to get answers to COVID-related questions amid a surge in cases.
The provincial government is asking people not to flood the 811 phone line with questions not related to ongoing medical concerns.
The tele-triage service is being innundated with questions from the public about COVID test results, the availability of rapid test kits or questions about the availability of booster shots.
The VOCM Newsroom is also fielding calls from people frustrated by their inability to find the information and answers they’re looking for.
The provincial government tweeted out this week, providing a link to the COVID-19 website which contains information related to the ongoing pandemic, including where to find test results, and how to book a COVID test.
? 811 HealthLine is experiencing a high volume of calls for info not related to medical concerns. Please do not use the tele-triage service for questions on COVID-19 test results, rapid test kits or questions on booster availability.
