The Department of Health and Community Services is responding to some rumours that recent COVID cases in the Harbour Breton area can be linked to a function hosted by Health Minister John Haggie at the local chalet.

The department calls the claims “unfortunate and inaccurate.”

The say that Minister Haggie, who was recently diagnosed with COVID himself, did not host any events over Christmas and spent his time with his family bubble.
