A Labrador MHA calls the COVID outbreak in Labrador one of the biggest in the country—and he wishes to see government do more to address the situation.
Labrador, with fewer than 30,000 people, has reported 125 cases in each of the last two days. Few communities in the region have gone untouched by the virus during the current wave.
NDP Jordan Brown says they do not have adequate access to rapid or PCR testing, and they are not getting reliable, timely information to help inform Labradorians.
Brown says government’s approach to the Omicron wave in the region has been rushed together and it’s making communication unclear between the Department of Labrador Affairs, Public Health and Labrador Grenfell Health.
