Visitor restrictions are tightening at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in the facility.
25 of its 107 residents and 22 staff have been diagnosed with the virus, leading to the increased restrictions.
One designated support person is permitted to visit residents at other health care facilities, however this is not permitted at Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre as staff and residents isolate.
Workers are being redeployed from other sites to the facility to ensure residents are receiving proper care.
