Charges have been laid against a 74-year-old CBS man in relation to an alleged sexual assault dating back nearly 30 years.

The RNC’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit began its investigation after receiving a report in November of 2018 about the sexual assault of a child in Conception Bay South dating back to 1994.

The accused is facing a number of charges including sexual exploitation, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, and corrupting children. The accused has been released to appear in court at a later date.
