The COVID-19 testing clinic in Gander reached full capacity for the day today before the doors opened.
That’s according to Joanne Manuels who owns Home Hardware in Lewisporte.
Speaking on VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly, she says that her store hasn’t been open yet in 2022.
She has seven employees, six of whom who have been impacted by COVID by having to get tested. Everyone was tested and received a negative result, but some were told they needed a second test.
One of her employees went to the clinic in Gander this morning and when they pulled into the parking lot at 9 a.m.—when the clinic was supposed to open, they were told that the clinic was already at capacity.
She says there’s no point in leaving to go to Gander to get a test because the clinic is full.
This clinic is full and are not accepting any more clients today.
