The COVID outbreak in Labrador has made its way into a long-term care home in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Lake Melville MHA Perry Trimper calls it a worrying situation.
Labrador currently has some of the highest infection rates in the country per capita.
Trimper says the problem is being exacerbated in the region by its relative remoteness and the time needed to get testing results analyzed. He says the region is feeling great stress with essential services like the airport, the long term care facility, garages and other businesses contemplating closure due to lack of staff.
