The PC Opposition is sticking to its assertion that the recently announced review of all government assets is a waste of money.
The province is paying an international company $5 million to do a valuation to assess what’s worth keeping and what’s not.
Premier Andrew Furey says that wasn’t part of Moya Greene’s mandate with the PERT report, nor should it have been.
But PC Leader David Brazil disagrees, adding the work should be done in-house.
He insists it goes beyond duplication, suggesting government already has the information to perform such a review, adding there’s more than enough expertise at Confederation Building to do the job instead of spending $5 million that could be better spend elsewhere.
