Western Health has made available nearly 10,000 COVID additional vaccination appointments for the remainder of this month.
Each clinic offers appointments for:
- Pediatrics (aged 5-11): first or second dose
- Seniors (aged 60+): first or second dose or booster
- Covid-19: first or second doses for aged 12+ or booster for aged 18+
Vaccination appointments can be booked online. Those unable to book online can schedule an appointment by calling 1-833-703-5470 toll free.
Some vaccination clinics will offer walk in appointments as capacity permits, which will be shared on Western Health’s social media platforms.
Western Health reminds the public to arrive for their appointment no earlier than ten minutes in advance, to bring their MCP card and to wear a short-sleeved shirt.
Meanwhile, another COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic is being held at Waterford Valley High in St. John’s today. The clinic will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to those 30 and up. The Moderna vaccine will be offered. As well, a curbside service will be offered to those who have mobility issues. Anyone requiring that service must indicate so to security at the entrance.
A similar clinic on Saturday had to be aborted because of a demonstration by anti-vaxxers.
