A 29-year-old man has been charged following a rash of break-ins on the west coast.
Three break-ins are being investigated: one at a commercial property in Curling on Friday, one at a commercial property on Confederation Drive in Corner Brook early Saturday morning, and a break-in at the North Atlantic Orange Store in Steady Brook just after 4 a.m. Saturday.
Following the Orange Store break-in, RCMP obtained surveillance footage showing a suspect and a vehicle. The man and the vehicle were located around 7:30 a.m.
29-year-old Travis Byrne, who was arrested for the offences, was in breach of his curfew at the time. He’s now facing two counts of break, enter and theft, as well as six counts of breach of a release order.
He appeared in court yesterday.
A second man in the vehicle was arrested and released. Charges against him are pending.
