A 26-year-old Lab City woman has been charged after an unusual incident in Labrador West Monday night.
The RNC were called following reports of a disturbance at a home in Wabush shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Responding officers were informed that a woman was outside a home causing damage to property, before driving away.
They located the suspect vehicle on the Trans-Labrador Highway, but when they attempted to pull the vehicle over, it sped away.
Police were waiting for the suspect outside her home, when they noticed the suspect vehicle approaching.
It stopped a short distance away and police say the driver got out, and tried to run from the scene, but was taken into custody without further incident.
The accused is facing a list of charges including damage to property, dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from police, operating a vehicle while prohibited, and impaired driving.
The vehicle was impounded and the woman was held to appear in court.
