A car took ‘a little off the side’ of Fogtown Barber Shop in downtown St. John’s last night.
The freak accident occurred around 7 p.m. as the eastbound four-door Sedan was turning left from Water Street, up Prescott Street.
Witnesses said the vehicle may have veered into the Fogtown building to avoid pedestrians in the area.
It was also pitch black in wind, rain and wet snow at the time of the accident.
There was significant damage to the front end of the car. The wall and interior of the barber shop was also damaged by the impact. Fogtown is closed today, but the business is hoping to open to customers on Saturday.
No injuries have been reported. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
