A youth has been charged following an extensive sexual violence investigation.

In March of last year, the RNC received a report of sexual violence going back to 2019.

The report indicated that a youth had engaged in sexual violence involving a child.

As a result of the RNC’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit’s investigation, the youth was arrested on January 5th and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, invitation to sexual touching, exposure, and making explicit material available to a child.

The accused, who cannot be named, was released from custody on conditions, and is set to appear in court at a later date.
