Students in the province will return to schools on Tuesday, January 25th.
That’s a day later than planned and pushes rapid testing back one day.
The news was announced during today’s live COVID briefing.
It means students should now take their first test on Saturday, with the second one on Tuesday morning.
Dr. Janice Fitzgerald cautioned against using the decision on schools as a “guidepost” for other activities, noting education of our youth is considered essential.
Meanwhile, Public Health is reporting the 29th and 30th deaths due to COVID-19 in the province.

There have been 764 new recoveries, leaving 2,801 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
