The Labrador Institute is transitioning into a full academic campus.
Memorial University’s Senate gave approval for the institute to become the Labrador Campus, which will be one of the few post-secondary campuses that services Northern Canada.
A new stand-alone space has been secured in Happy Valley-Goose Bay with a planned move-in date this spring.
The new space will let the Campus establish more programs and services.
The first students will begin class in the fall.
The move is the final stage of MUN’s multi-year plan to try to better serve Labrador and Northern Canada.
