A stand-up comedian, game-show host and Emmy winner has passed away.
Louie Anderson, who made his television debut in 1984 on Johnny Carson`s “The Tonight Show“, and later served as host of “Family Feud“, died Friday following complications stemming from a battle with cancer, specifically a type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.
He was 68.
In 2016, Anderson won an Emmy for his portrayal of Christine Baskets on FX`s comedy series Baskets, also starring Zack Galafianakis.
Other appearances included Eddie Murphy`s Coming to America and its 2021 sequel, as well as the sitcom Young Sheldon.
Anderson’s death comes more than a week after his friend, Bob Saget, was found dead in an Orlando hotel room on January 9th.
