RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a firearm accidentally left behind in a parking area off Gallows Cove Road in Witless Bay.
Ferryland RCMP say a hunter mistakenly left his 12-gauge Browning Maxis Stalker pump-action behind after returning from a trip.
When he returned to retrieve it, however, it was gone.
RCMP say it is likely the firearm was retrieved by someone in the area and police are hoping it can be returned to its owner.
