Restrictions on public access to provincial court has been extended until at least January 31st.
All adult and youth criminal appearances, trials, hearings and traffic court matters set for January 4th to January 31st, for people not in custody, have been rescheduled for one month from the date of the original court date.
The new dates will be posted on the provincial court website when available.
As well, there will be no in-person hearings, with the courts continuing to make full use of video and audio technology for criminal matters involving people in custody, to ensure things such as bail hearings and sentencings can proceed, where necessary.
Civil matters have been adjourned indefinitely, while travel to circuit locations has been suspended.
