An incident on Gosse’s Lane in Torbay has come to a peaceful resolution.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary were called to the scene Sunday morning to reports of an armed man in the area.

Residents were advised to stay in their homes for a time and all others were asked to avoid the area.

Police are still on the scene continuing their investigation. There are no further public safety concerns.
