Up to seven people have been displaced by a house fire early Sunday morning in St. John’s.
The fire occurred shortly after 1 a.m. on Merrymeeting Road, damaging a two-storey rooming house.
According to the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, up to seven people lived in the building, but only four were home at the time.
The Canadian Red Cross made emergency arrangements for one man. Three others made their own temporary arrangements, but will be offered the same help if requested.
