Eastern Health says guests of the Gathering Place who tested positive for COVID over the weekend are being accommodated at a variety of locations based on Public Health recommendations.

It was recently revealed that an undisclosed number of guests at the Gathering Place—among some of society’s most vulnerable—have tested positive for COVID-19.

The health authority is not disclosing the exact location where guests are being put up for self-isolation for privacy reasons but says those accommodations include area hotels.

Eastern Health is also working with the Gathering Place to support the ability for guests to isolate at the shelter as well.
