The War Amps have begun mailing out key tags as a part of their 2022 campaign, highlighting the importance of donations to the organization.
The key tags are being mailed out with the theme “You Make Our Programs Possible.”
As an example, they say 12-year-old Cooper Tidmarsh lost part of his right leg in a lawnmowing accident. Through War Amps programs his family has received financial assistance towards artificial limbs and devices, as well as other supports.
Tidmarsh’s mom, Kristy, says donations have helped fund several artificial legs for her son as he’s grown, and they are always thankful for the kindness of strangers who have helped Cooper through the program.
The War Amps don’t receive any government funding, and its programs are possible by donations received through their key tag service.
The tags have confidentially coded numbers on them that allow them to be mailed back to the owner if lost.
For more information and to order a tag, visit waramps.ca or call 1-800-250-3030.
