A book-gifting program, set up by one of the music industry’s biggest artists, has been offering free books to preschool age children around the world, including in this province.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free, age-appropriate books to children from birth to Kindergarten.
All you have to do is sign up.
Carolyn Clarke has been involved in the Imagination Library in the Twillingate-New World Island area for several years.
She says the program has a local element as well, which is supported by the Lion’s Club, the Bridgeport and Area Kinsmen, and The Remembering Robbie Foundation.
This is World Literacy Day.
