A man who held police at bay in Torbay for most of this past Sunday is free on bail.
36-year-old Daniel Ozon was released yesterday on conditions that include staying away from Gosse’s Lane, where the incident unfolded, along with a 10 p.m. curfew.
The eight-hour ordeal began early Sunday after reports of a shot being fired, but was resolved peacefully around 3 p.m.
Ozon was subsequently charged with assault and a half dozen firearms offences, including firing a gun that was reckless to the life and safety of another person.
He’s due back in court on March 1st
Ozon was already before the courts facing charges of dangerous driving and fleeing police.
That matter is set for May 11th.
