A 17-year-old from Torbay has been arrested and charged in connection with a crash on the Main Road in Pouch Cove in July that claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy.
Police were called to the scene of a two vehicle crash involving a car and SUV in the early morning hours of July 4.
The victim, who was an occupant of a black car, died at the scene. Another occupant of the same car, a teenage boy, was taken to hospital for treatment. The occupants of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
The RNC say a 17-year-old boy is now facing charges of dangerous driving causing death, dangerous driving causing bodily harm, operating a vehicle with a low blood drug concentration. He was also ticketed for operating a vehicle without insurance, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving without an appropriate accompanying driver and driving with passengers in the vehicle.
