Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s has tabled its 2022 budget, with no mil rate increases for property tax and business tax.
The rate will stay at 6.5 mils for residents and 8.1 mils for businesses.
However, sewer fees are increasing by $50 and water fees by $20. The Town will still provide an early payment discount to taxpayers, but it’s being reduced to 2.5 percent.
The total projected revenue and expenses is just under $14 million dollars.
