A 43-year-old man is dead following a snowmobile crash on a trail outside Hughes Brook on the province’s west coast.
Corner Brook RCMP received a report about the incident on Cloudy Pond Road around 5:30 Saturday afternoon.
First responders found the unresponsive man underneath his damaged snow machine. He was taken to paramedics on standby in Hughes Brook, but he had already succumbed to his injuries.
The man was wearing a helmet.
The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating.
