The installation of a new X-ray machine at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Centre will bring temporary changes to outpatient X-ray services for the next couple of months.
Eastern Health says installation of a new “state-of-the-art” X-ray machine is set to begin on Monday, February 7.
For about two months, outpatient X-ray services for residents of the Bonavista Peninsula will be temporarily provided at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville.
During this time, limited X-ray services will continue to be available in Bonavista for inpatients, emergency department patients and long-term care residents.
Eastern Health says the new, fully digital X-ray machine will produce higher quality medical images to support more accurate diagnoses and better outcomes for patients.
Eastern Health apologies for any inconvenience the temporary change may cause.
