The Nature Conservancy of Canada is encouraging people to get outside as the country is battling another wave of the pandemic.
A new poll conducted for the NCC shows that 82 per cent of the people surveyed are spending time in nature.
Piers Evans, NCC Program Director for Newfoundland and Labrador, says people connecting with nature, which is improving their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
He says being in nature allows us to connect to a larger ecosystem, which helps soften the blow of social isolation. He says the connection to nature can be both physically and metaphysically.
