Gas prices in Newfoundland and Labrador have reached new record highs.

Gas is up by 5.5 cents this morning, and diesel has jumped by roughly the same.

That means gas prices in the province have surpassed the record high of $1.63 set last fall.

Furnace and stove oils have both increased by over 4 cents each, and propane is up by 0.9 cents.
