Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting its 46th death due to COVID-19.
The victim is a man in his 60s in the Eastern Health region.
Meanwhile, Public Health is reporting 166 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province today, with 22 people in hospital. Six of those patients are receiving critical care.
There are also 197 new recoveries being reported, leaving 1,525 active cases in the province.
All of Newfoundland and Labrador is now in a modified version of Alert Level 3.

Meanwhile, the provincial government has called a live COVID briefing for tomorrow afternoon.
Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, Health Minister John Haggie and Premier Andrew Furey will all be in attendance.
