It will be tonight before power is restored to a remote area of the south coast.

English Harbour West has been without electricity since Friday because of the ice storm. As a result, Fitzgerald Academy school did not open today.

Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro says crews are now back on site completing repairs in several locations in the area. They estimate restoration by 8:00 tonight.

Thousands in Nova Scotia are still without electricity as a result of that same storm.
