The PC Opposition says enough is enough when it comes to the cost of fuel.
The price of gas alone is poised to eclipse the $1.70 a litre mark tomorrow in the St. John’s metro area.
But finance critic Tony Wakeham says it doesn’t have to be this way.
He says while the government has so far resisted cutting fuel taxes to ease the pain at the pumps, he says the time has come to intervene.
Wakeham is calling on government to make adjustments now, instead of waiting until budget time.
