Members of the downtown business community continue to mourn the loss of “Downtown” Patrick Brown.
Word of Brown’s passing spread over the weekend, with many taking to social media to share their condolences.
A constant in the downtown area, the man is being remembered for his kindness and dedication to the city.
Business owner Kathie Hicks recalls Brown picking up litter and putting posters up on light poles, saying that the city should have paid him because he was “such an ambassador” for the downtown.
Hicks says Brown knew a lot about people and carried a lot of secrets with him, which Hicks attributes to Brown being so curious and always having meaningful conversations with people.
