Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting its 51st and 52nd deaths today due to COVID-19.
They are a man in his 70s in the Central Health region, and a man in his 90s in the Western Health region.
There are now 22 people in hospital because of COVID-19, nine of them receiving critical care.
There have also been 256 new recoveries and 267 new confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
The breakdown of the new cases includes 167 in Eastern Health, 44 in the Central Health region, 34 in Western Health and 22 in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region.
There are currently 1,598 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.
