Olympic Construction Awarded Contract for Wellness Centre in Placentia Bay

The Town of Placentia has awarded the contract for the regional wellness centre. Olympic Construction of St. John’s will build the facility for about $10.7-million.

Construction is expected to begin in the spring with opening anticipated in 2024. The town is in discussions with the YMCA regarding responsibility for the operations and programming for the facility.

The centre, located next to Unity PARC, will include two swimming pools, fitness centre, multipurpose room and walking track.
