Former provincial Progressive Conservative leader Ches Crosbie is coming under fire for his financial support of the so-called Freedom Convoy, and one of those questioning his motives is none other than his own cousin.
Political commentator Tim Powers, who lives in Ottawa, was responding to reports indicating Crosbie donated $800 dollars to support the convoy.
The federal government this week introduced measures to try to clear blockades preventing the flow of goods, and what some have called the occupation or siege of the federal capital’s downtown.
Crosbie has gone on the record indicating he supports the end of mandates.
Powers, acknowledging that he doesn’t want to start a family feud, calls the support “both stunning and disappointing.”
