St. John’s city council has approved an application to develop a lounge in the Village Shopping Centre.
The application, for a pool hall on the second story of the shopping mall, was approved at yesterday’s meeting.
It was one of a number of business applications before city council yesterday including a dental clinic on Torbay Road.
Councillor Debbie Hanlon calls it encouraging news.
She says it’s good to see businesses having faith in the economy again, adding that as the economy “gets its breath back”, there are certainly more businesses to come.
