Two competitive synchronized skating teams who train out of the Prince of Wales Skating Club in St. John’s are heading to nationals in Calgary, Alberta.
The Synergy Novice and Intermediate Teams, coached by Katie Blagdon, Allison Blagdon and Jenna Hillyard will depart for the Canadian Championships this week.
The teams consist of athletes between 11 and 17 years of age. The club says after training over the last two years, the teams are excited to represent POWSC and the province on the national stage.
The Mount Pearl Paradise Skating Club Open Starlites are also representing the province at that event.
