The provincial government is supporting additional services for those struggling with mental health issues.
A new phone-based service will be offered through the Strongest Families Institute, part of the larger Bridge the gapp, which offers guidance and support for mental health and addictions.
It will include coaching sessions with a trained mental health provider for any child, youth or adult with heightened anxiety or stress related to the pandemic.
The free, bilingual service will allow people to choose how they access the help—either group-based or one-one coaching—from the comfort of their own homes at a time that works for all.
The province says the program is known for its success, adding it removes barriers so that people get help quick, no matter where they live or when they need it.
