The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation has removed products of Russian origin from its shelves.
It’s in direct response to the invasion of Ukraine, in conjunction with other liquor corporations across Canada.
In a statement to VOCM News, the NLC says they “felt it was appropriate to do so” in light of current global affairs.
The products include Russian Standard Vodka and Russian Standard Platinum Vodka.
Those are the only two brands of Russian origin that the NLC currently stocks.
