The Public Utilities Board is closely monitoring daily benchmark gas and heating fuel prices to see if any adjustments need to be made.
Gas and fuel prices are regulated in Newfoundland and Labrador, and the PUB adjusts maximum allowable prices on a weekly basis.
The PUB tells VOCM News that it is watching current benchmark prices and will make adjustments outside the regular schedule “if circumstances warrant.”
Brent crude dropped by nearly a dollar yesterday, closing at just over $98 dollars U.S. a barrel.
