RCMP arrested a 17-year-old after an ATV crash in Bristol’s Hope near Harbour Grace on the weekend.
Police were called to the scene around 1:15 a.m. Saturday after an ATV ended up in a ditch. Police say the operator of the machine, a 17-year-old, showed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.
Breath samples obtained at the detachment were near twice the legal limit according to RCMP.
The teen was released to the care of an adult and faces charges of impaired driving. The ATV was seized and impounded and a licence suspension was issued.
