A 61-year-old man was arrested for impaired driving after attempting to board a Marine Atlantic ferry at Port aux Basques.
RCMP were called about a suspected impaired driver who was trying to board the vessel around 10 p.m. on Friday, February 25.
The man failed a roadside breath test and was arrested for impaired driving. He was taken to the detachment for further breath testing, but according to police refused to provide breath samples.
He’s been released to attend court at a later date. His licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
