A young person is facing assault charges after a disturbance in the metro region Tuesday morning.

Around 9:20 a.m., police were called to a residence in Conception Bay South to deal with a disturbance.

Police spoke with a male suspect at the home, and charged the youth with assault, damage to property, and uttering threats, as well as breaching a release order.

He was held to appear in court.
